We live in a broken world that is becoming increasingly hostile towards Christians day by day.  Some people say it is because Christianity is outdated for these modern times, that we need to cater to secular world, to draw people in with positive words and entertainment, to soften what we say and tolerate others sinful behaviors.  Maybe then people would love us, they wouldn't treat us so harshly, they would want to join our movement...  

 

But the Bible says in John 15:18-20 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also."

 

The thing is Jesus never came to this world to appeal to us.  He never came to make Christianity fun or popular.  He came to bring us salvation and truth.  From the beginning people have been turned off by the truth.  By accepting the truth you have to look inside yourself and see that you are broken and in need of a savior.  Many people want to be self sufficient which is fueled by pride and denial.  They don't want to have to change.  By nature humans want the easy route.  

 

But the Bible says in Matthew 7:14 "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."

 

That's because living your life for Christ is hard.  It means thinking not of yourself and picking up your large, rough, heavy cross...

 

Mark 8:34 "When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me"

 

It always has been hard and it always will be.  Modernizing Christianity or omitting what the Bible says does not make being a Christian any easier, it does not make it any more desiring to others.  It only spreads a false gospel that still brings people to their destruction.  They aren't any more saved than they were before, they are just accepting the easy way, which according to the verse above is not the way that leads to life.

 

Following the difficult road to life means becoming a warrior.  There are obstacles, danger, enemies and despair that surrounds it trying to deter you from continuing.  It requires you to PARTNER with others, to PREPARE for the tough road, to EQUIP yourself with armor and knowledge and to FIGHT so that you may have VICTORY!

 

So instead of giving people false ideals, motivational speeches and easy rules, let's give them the truth.  Lets give them the tools to really be a true warrior for God.  Let's show them there is honor and reward for doing it God's way and not choosing the easy road.  I hope that everything you find here will be encouraging and helpful in equipping you to be a BOLD Warrior for Christ!
