Spread the Word

Not many people think of spreading the GOSPEL as a way to FIGHT, but think of it this way, the enemy desires to stop as many people as he can from hearing and believing the WORD because when they do, they become one more warrior in Christ's kingdom.  Therefore, when we go out and tell others about Christ, we are FIGHTING against the enemy and FIGHTING for people's souls.

The Great Commission

Matthew 28:18- And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

And another...

The Great Commission

Mark 16:14- Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and PREACH THE GOSPEL to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

One thing we tend to forget is that Christ has commanded and enabled each and every one of us to spread the GOSPEL and amazingly enough there are very few of us that take hold of that and use the talents God gave us.  There are so many out there that need to hear the GOOD NEWS, there are so many people who don't even know who Christ is and what He has done for us.  God chose us who believe to spread the GOSPEL, He doesn't ask us to be perfect, professionals or popular, He just wants us to be willing and able!

Matthew 9:35- And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and PROCLAIMING THE GOSPEL of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Isaiah 52:7- How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who BRINGS GOOD NEWS, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who PROCLAIMS SALVATION, who says to Zion,“Your God reigns!”

It is a blessing to be able to share the GOOD NEWS with others!  Anytime we know that someone does not know Christ as their Savior, we need to have compassion and concern for the wellbeing of their souls.  Every time we have an opportunity to share Christ with someone, we are stretching out our hand and offering to pull another person from the fire.

Romans 1:16- For I am not ashamed of the GOSPEL, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

I know sometimes we can feel foolish and not know how to SHARE THE GOSPEL, but I assure you, God honors your effort no matter how well it goes... One thing to remember is, sharing the GOSPEL can mean something as simple as giving of your time or money and setting a Christ-like example so your testimony speaks to others of God's power and saving grace.  It doesn't always have to mean holding signs and handing out tracts.  I often find many opportunities in my daily errands and conversations to casually point everything back to God and often times He provides a way to SHARE THE GOSPEL with that person.

Just know that every person we SHARE THE GOSPEL with, we are FIGHTING for one more soul, and for every soul won is one more added to the number that must be fulfilled in order for Christ to come again.  He has been so patient and desires to see everyone HE can come to Him so that none should perish.

Matthew 24:14- And this GOSPEL of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
