Find a Counselor
Why is it a good idea to seek counseling?
We all could use advice from time to time and sometimes it's healthy to see the counsel of someone who isn't close to you. Our friends and family can't always bear the weight of our pain or struggles and sometimes it's a great idea to have a neutral person to confide in. Sometimes people have this idea that counseling is for people with "real" problems or it means sitting in a stuffy office with a crotchety man peering over his glasses at you as you spill all your private thoughts before him. Counseling is actually for everyone, even "normal" people. Most often counselors can be very freindly, kind and trustworthy, but it is always good to do an interveiw before you allow them to mentor you.
Did you know the Bible talks about seeking council with others?
It is interesting to me the Jesus is referred to as "The Great Counsellor"...
