About Bold Warriors for Christ...
How We got Started...
BWFC came to be due to the massive amount of unmet needs of those around me. I often witnessed christians struggling to find support, resources and community where they felt welcome. I thought, "Wouldn't be awesome if I could reach out to everyone in a big way and offer a diverse community of support? Wouldn't it be nice if I could take every resource available and put them all in one place? Wouldn't it be awesome if I could provide a place where people could connect and learn on a deeper level?"
So brainstorming ensued and what BWFC stands for was birthed. I really wanted the site to stir up the hearts of those who have lost hope, shrunk back in fear or have lived a less than fulfilling Christian walk, so I asked myself, "What should Christains stand for? What does God want from us? What is the heart of God?"
Proverbs 28:1- The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are BOLD as a LION.
Hosea 11:9- I will not execute My fierce anger; I will not destroy Ephraim again. For I am God and not man, the Holy One in your midst, And I will not come in wrath. 10They will walk after the LORD, He will ROAR like a LION; Indeed He will roar And His sons will come trembling from the west.
Ephesians 6:10- Finally, be STRONG in the Lord and in the STRENGTH of his MIGHT. 11 Put on the whole ARMOR of God, that you may be able to STAND AGAINST the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not WRESTLE against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual FORCES of evil in the heavenly places.13 Therefore take up the whole ARMOR of God, that you may be able to WITHSTAND in the evil day, and having done all, to stand FIRM. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the BELT of truth, and having put on the BREASTPLATE of righteousness, 15 and, as SHOES for your feet, having put on the READINESS given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the SHIELD of faith, with which you can EXTINGUISH all the flaming darts of the evil o ne; 17 and take the HELMET of salvation, and the SWORD of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 PRAYING at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep ALERT with all PERSEVERENCE, making supplication for all the saints, 19 and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth BOLDLY to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an AMBASSADOR in chains, that I may declare it BOLDLY, as I ought to speak.
So there you have it... Bold Warriors for Christ was born and God wrote the rest. The ideas flowed, the layout was presented. And I said, "What a great idea God!" He always knows best!
Mission Statement
The goal of BWFC is to create an atmosphere that is condusive to growing in Christ fully and BOLDLY. We desire to give people a place where they can learn, share, teach, admonish, exhort and encourage one another. In everything we do, we make every effort to represent ourselves in the manner of love and respect, for it is said:
1 Corinthians 13:4- Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
What We Believe
God
We believe that God is all knowing, all seeing, soveriegn and just. We believe he created the universe just as the bible outlines and created man in His own image. We believe God is the only God that there ever was and ever will be.
(Genisis 1:1-31) (1 Chronicles 28:9) (Psalms 147:4, 33:13-15, 139:2-10) (Job 31:4, 34:21, 37:15-16) (Daniel 2:22) (Isaiah 40:26-28) (Jeremiah 23:24) (Matthew 6:8, 24:36) (Romans 11:33-34) (2 Thessalonians 1:6)
God exists in Three Persons
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three forms: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4-5) (Matthew 28:19-20) (Mark 12:28--31) (I John 5:7)
Virgin Birth of Christ
We believe that our Lord was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary who was human and a sinner as is the rest of mankind.
(Isaiah 7:14) (Matthew 1:18-23)
Deity of Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord, Christ Jesus. Jesus is God incarnate, and was manifest in human flesh. He was like us in all ways except for one, being free from sin.
(Isaiah 9:6-7) (John 1:1-14) (John 5:22-23) (John 8:54-58) (John 10:30)
Christ Died for Our Sins
We believe in the atoning death of Jesus, who died on the cross so that we might live - offering Himself up as the perfect sacrifice for sinful man. Through this, Christ fulfilled positions of mediator, high priest, penalty for sins, the need to make atonement, circumcise, baptize by water and sanctifying rituals. He has made the requirement for those complete and whole, fully fulfilled, leaving no room for a better source or way.
(Hebrews 4:14, 10:10) (Romans 2:29, 3:25, 5:6-10, 6:3) (I Thessalonians 5:9-10) (1 Timothy 2:5)
Bodily Resurrection and Ascension of Christ
We believe that Christ is the risen saviour. Jesus rose from the dead, appeared to many, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
(Acts 1:8-11) (Romans 8:31-35)
Salvation by Grace
We believe in salvation by grace through faith. There is no other way but through the belief in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. This is a free gift from God and not because of our works.
(Matthew 16:21-26) (John 3:16-19) (John 14:6) (Acts 4:12) (Romans 10:9-13) (Ephesians 2:4-9) (I John 5:9-12)
Holy Bible is the Inspired Word of God
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. The Word of God is eternal and unbroken. It is infalliable, perfect and complete. Nothing has been left out or is hidden. The Holy spirit guides and reveals to all who ask to receive knowledge, regardless of the version or translation. Nothing should be added or removed from His Word. Furthermore, the Word of God became flesh and walked among us as Jesus Christ.
(Numbers 23:16-19) (Proverbs 30:5-6) (Hebrews 4:12) (John 1:1-14) (II Timothy 3:15-17) (2 Peter 1:20) (Revelation 22:19-18)
Water Baptism
We believe that all that some to Christ can receive water baptism, as a demonstration of our faith. This act represents a commitment by the believer and an outward symbol of spiritual identification with His death, burial, and resurrection.
(Matthew 28:18-20) (Mark 1:4-11)
Fruits and Gifts of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit, for the edification of the body of believers, and enabling the believer to live a life pleasing to God. We also believe that not everyone will receive the same gifts, but each person will receive whatever measure the Holy spirit wills and assigns. Not having a specific gift does not indicate a lack of salvation, but only shows that we are all different body parts with different functions in the body of Christ.
(Matthew 7:13-23) (Acts 2:38-39) (Romans 12:4-8) (I Corinthians 12:1-31, 3:1-3) (Galatians 5:22-26)
The Church
We Believe that the church is not a physical building or a specific denomination. It is the body of Christ which is made up of many peoples and walks of life.
(1 Corinthians 12:12) (Romans 12:5) (Acts 20:28)
Bodily Resurrection of the Believers to Eternal Life
We believe in the bodily resurrection of those who believe and obey to eternal life. (Isaiah 26:19) (Daniel 12:1-3) (Matthew 22:30-32) (Mark 12:25-27) (Luke 20:34-38) (John 5:25-29) (Romans 8:22-23) (I Corinthians 15:35-45) (I Corinthians 15:51-55) (I Corinthians 15:20-28) (Philippians 3:20-21) (I John 3:1-3) (Revelation 20:4-6)
Second Coming of Jesus Christ
We believe in the second coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ at the end of the Tribulation when He comes to destroy the nations and bring salvation to all those that call upon His name. At that time there will be a literal gathering of His people who have survived and a glorius and joyful entering into a physical millenial kingdom where Christ reigns over us in a temple that will be rebuilt and dwells among us face to face. At that time there will be peace and a repopulation of the earth where all nations will be subject to his elect.
