In a time with increasing technology, we have the opportunity to CONNECT on so many platforms.  From the internet to going out and meeting people the old fashioned way, God has placed in us a desire to have fellowship.  We were designed to have relationships, to feel love, acceptance, companionship and friendship... Unfortunately as technology increases, sometimes we become so artifically connected we forget what it means to have a genuine relationship.  Technology gives us the ability to hide who we are, to put on our best face, to edit every thought and feeling... We become a manufactured persona, but the reason God created us for relationships is so that we can learn and grow, so that we can uplift and exhort eachother, guide and refine eachother.  We can't do that when we put a false image out or fail to CONNECT on a personal level at all.

IRON SHARPENS IRON

Proverbs 27:17- As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

We need eachother so that we can truly understand who God, the Holy Spirit and Jesus is. So many parables and verses in the bible had to do with relationships so we can understand Gods role in our lives and how he feels about us.  He created marriages so we can understand what it means to be His bride and adored by Him.  He created Parents so we could understand what it means to be God's children and how correction is love.  He created friendships so that we could understand what it means to be Jesus' friends whom he would never betray.  He created siblings so we could understand how we are to love and treat eachother who are in Christ.  Everything God made served as an example to help us understand Him better.

Today I encourage you to examine yourself, rememeber who you are, find you vulnerable self and make CONNECTIONS with someone who may very well need someone to see their true side and show them what it means to have a brother or sister in Christ.
