How does knowing your enemy help you PREPARE to be a BOLD WARRIOR?  Well when people go to battle they study their enemy to know their moves, tactics, plans, routes, and schemes.  This helps them PREPARE to make counter attacks, to be aware and alert.   When we know what the enemy plans to do and how he will do it, we are better suited to defend ourselves and sucessfully win.  

 

So who is the enemy?  

 

Ephesians 6:12- For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

 

1 Peter 5:8- Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

 

The enemy is the devil and his demons, it is the wicked people and things of the world he uses as tools to accomplish his purpose.  It is the works of darkness we fight against and I will tell you being cunning is the number one trait.  We must have respect and know we are up against a powerful force that can lure and decive anyone if they do not prepare and put on the armor of Christ.  Of course God is ultimately the winner of this battle and He can destroy the enemy with one thought, but if we don't put on the protection of Christ, we will be left wide open.

 

Matthew 7:15- “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits.
