Fight.
When you hear the word FIGHT, what kind of impression does it give you? Is FIGHT a positive action or a negative one? Why is that? For me, FIGHT has both positive and negative feelings attached to it due to life experiences. Fighting may mean arguing or physically fighting with people over something, it can mean defending yourself or the rights of others, it can also mean standing firm in what you believe in.

Many people say that God does not like fighting and we must do everything we can to keep the peace. Is this true? What does the bible say?
Ephesians 6:10- Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, 19 and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.
The Bible calls us to FIGHT against evil. This is a circumstance where we are not required to make peace or be passive. This FIGHT is not against people, but the forces behind them and the powers that control all that is wicked. This is a FIGHT we FIGHT, not with our own power, but God's.

Psalm 144:1- Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle; 2 he is my steadfast love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.
God often blessed men and rulers who followed after Him with all their heart by helping them to win wars and subdue their enemies. He did this so His will would be done and justice would reign. God desires that the righteous rule and those that are haughty He seeks to bring low. Sometimes this has to be done by FIGHTING in wars and battle because that is what's neccesary in order to bring about consequences and retribution to those that oppose God.
FIGHT the Good FIGHT of Faith
1 Timothy 6:11- But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. 12 FIGHT the good FIGHT of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, 14 to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which he will display at the proper time—he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
17 As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. 18 They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, 19 thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.
20 O Timothy, guard the deposit entrusted to you. Avoid the irreverent babble and contradictions of what is falsely called “knowledge,” 21 for by professing it some have swerved from the faith.
Grace be with you.
2 Timothy 4:6- For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought the good FIGHT, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
FIGHTING can also mean to struggle or keep hold of something; to persevere and stand your ground. Every day we continue to live for Christ despite the persecution and struggles, we are FIGHTING the good FIGHT of faith. We must hold fast to our faith, not wavering or shrinking back to bondage (which is unbelief or trying to work for salvation). This definitely becomes a struggle because the enemy will do anything possible to try and turn you away from the one thing that will keep you from being under his control and torment. By having faith we are granted eternal life and freedom in Christ, and that is the last thing the devil wants. Have you ever wondered why it seemed the closer you got to God or the more you grew in spiritual maturity, the more you seemed to be under attack? Well, that's why. So hold fast to your faith and endure till the end and you will win the prize that is eternal life and salvation.
1 Corinthians 9:24- Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receivesthe prize? So run that you may obtain it. 25 Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26 So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. 27 But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

matthew 10:34- “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn “‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother,a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’
37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
Just remember, the FIGHT we have is not against one another as human beings, but the FIGHT to keep hold of our faith and the prize that comes from enduring; it is the FIGHT we take up against all the evil and supernatural forces of this world; it is the FIGHT we take up against all injustice and malice. Christ will come again someday to FIGHT against all those that have lived wickedly and in opposition to Him, until then, we must stand BOLDLY against the enemy and all his schemes to kill, steal and destroy. We are warriors for Christ and every day is a FIGHT, so put on the full armor of God and stand strong in Christ!

73 agṓn (a masculine noun, and the root of the English words, "agony," "agonize") – properly, a contest (struggle), a grueling conflict (fight); (figuratively) positive struggle that goes with "fighting the good fight of faith" (1 Tim 6:12) – which literally states, "Struggle (75 /agōnízomai) the good struggle (73 /agṓn) of the (life of) faith."
[73 (agṓn) refers to "an (athletic) contest; hence, a struggle (in the soul)" (Souter).
"In secular Greek 73 (agṓn) refers to a gathering to see the games, or the place of contest (Homer), or the Olympus games themselves, or some smaller contest in particular – the gymnikos, hippikos, and mousikos – and more generally, any struggle or battle" (Nigel Turner, Christian Words, 81).
In the ancient world, athletic contests could be so severe they caused the toughest men to crumble. Indeed, this was common (so Euripedes, Xenophon).]
